Tripp Edwards
Chief Executive Officer
Tripp was born and raised in Midland, Texas. He attended Auburn University where he received a B.B.A. in Finance and he is currently a MBA Candidate at the Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business. Tripp began working for Wildcat in January of 2016 as a Business Administration Manager has worked his way up to the VP Finance and Business Development. Tripp is currently serving as the Treasurer for the Young Professionals in Energy; Midland Chapter, he is a SMU Cox OMBA Ambassador, and he serves on multiple boards at his church.
Gina Berrones
Chief Financial Officer
Gina was born in Minnesota and raised in Austin, Texas. She attended Texas Tech University and graduated in 1995 with a B.B.A. in Accounting. After working in public accounting, Gina left to start a career in industry. She has spent the last 20 years working for several different oil and gas companies, working her way up from an Assistant Controller to her current position with Wildcat Oil Tools as the Chief Financial Officer. She has been with Wildcat since November 2013.
Don Sherrill
Chief Operating Officer
Don started with Wildcat Oil Tools as the District Manager for our Oklahoma City facility in 2015. Wildcat expanded its regional presence with Don’s management, and he was promoted to Regional Manager for OKC & MidCon. Don has over 15 years of experience ranging from workover rigs, thru tubing to fishing and rental. He has worked with vertical and horizontal wells in OK, AR, LA & TX.
Rick Whitfield
EVP - Sales & Marketing
Rick Whitfield serves as Wildcat Oil Tools’ EVP of Sales and Marketing. Rick has devoted his career to sales and marketing in the oilfield services sector. He started his career with Bovaird Supply Company and later worked for Toolpushers Supply. Most recently, he worked with JD Rush Corporation where he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager and was responsible for all of their commercial operations east of the Rock Mountains.
Throughout his career, Rick has worked as a manager. He has been responsible for not only onshore and offshore operations but securing sources of supply. In this capacity, he has gained substantial international experience working with companies across the globe
Rick has a BBA from Louisiana Tech University.
Rick Strange
General Counsel
Rick Strange is the General Counsel for Wildcat Oil Tools and has been with the Company since 2017. Rick has spent his professional career working in the oil and gas sector. Rick is responsible for all legal and regulatory affairs including contracts, Human Resources, and international compliance.
Rick started his career with Cotton, Bledsoe, Tighe and Dawson, an oil and gas law firm in Midland, Texas. He became a shareholder and headed the litigation section. Rick was appointed to the Eastland Court of Appeals in 2005 and served there until 2011. He returned to Cotton, Bledsoe for several years until becoming Wildcat’s General Counsel.
Rick obtained a BBA from Hardin Simmons University and a law degree from the University of Texas. He is board certified in oil, gas, and mineral law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Duane Samford
President, Wildcat International
Duane Samford currently serves as President Wildcat International. Duane has more than 39 years of professional experience in the oil and gas industry with expertise in Sales, Operations, Financial Performance, Market Share Growth and New Technology Development and Introduction. Prior to joining Wildcat Oil Tools Duane spent thirty- five years with Smith International/Schlumberger in various senior management roles both domestically and internationally, including serving as Vice President North America, Global Vice President Fishing & Remedial and Drilling Products as well as Vice President U.S. and Mexico Sales & Operations. He has been involved in over 10 merger and acquisition transactions in the buyer and seller roles and subsequent post-acquisition integration.
Mike Moody
EVP of Northern Operations
Mike Moody serves as Wildcat Oil Tools Executive VP for the Northeast Region. He is responsible for managing all fishing and rental operations and providing technical support for customers and field personnel.
Mike has 30 years of experience in oil and gas operations, Chemical R&D Manufacturing, Business Development, Corporate Accounts, and Management.
Justin Overstreet
Vice President of Safety
Justin Overstreet is Vice President of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental for Wildcat Oil Tools, where he builds and maintains the Quality Management System (QMS) as well as the overall Safety Program strategy and works with Operations to implement all aspects of it. Justin has 20 years of experience in the execution of quality and safety systems (primarily in the Oil and Gas Industry) and has held roles throughout his career from Technician to Executive Leadership.
Justin carries IADC WellCap Instructor status for “Surface Stack Combined Drilling & Workover-Completion” as well as designation as a “Qualified Person” for fall protection systems and rigging and lifting equipment.
Justin attended Texas Tech and enjoys his time with his family, fishing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
